Research Physical Scientist and Physics Branch Chief, NOAA/OAR/Global Systems Laboratory

Welcome

I am a Research Physical Scientist and chief of the Physics Branch with NOAA's Global Systems Laboratory, where I lead the team developing improved physics parameterizations and models for storm-scale forecasting.
About Me

Research

I seek to push the bounds of how well we can predict heavy rainfall, severe thunderstorms, winter storms, and tropical cyclones using state-of-the-art traditional and data-driven models.
My Research

Academics

I maintain a collection of resources from my time as a Professor, including course notes, lab materials, scholarship and research internship lists, and advice for applying to graduate school.
